The truth about what really happened in Benghazi — and how much the White House knew at the time — is finally coming out…and it had nothing to do with a badly produced film.

Lara Logan is the reporter who was raped by ‘protestors’ in Tahrir Square, Cairo. In this very partisan speech to the ‘Better Government Association’ luncheon, Logan tells it like it is. She denounces the administration as liars and calls on Obama to retaliate for the murder of an American diplomat on US soil (our consulate is technically US soil). And she says we are vulnerable right now–they are coming after us, she warns.
If only they had videotaped her keynote speech–and she gave it in Obama’s hometown of Chicago.

This morning, there’s a huge mystery in central Russia. Just what really happened remains to be seen. Twitter is abuzz with claims by residents that authorities aren’t being completely open about the cause. According to RT:
Initial reports suggested that a fire at the facility’s loading dock set off shells stored on a train for disposal.
That statement was later disputed by the Press Service of Russia’s Defense Ministry, which claimed that no one was injured or went missing in the incident. The ministry also denied that a train loaded with shells was at the testing range, saying only three shells exploded. It was later revealed that over 4,000 tons of shells detonated.
There’s a chilling video at the link that reminds us of the opening to the post-apocalyptic TV series, ‘Jericho’–only for real.

We’ve been told over and over that it’s all because of that darn YouTube movie! Take a few minutes to read Bill Gertz’s revealing peek behind the White House curtain.
Weeks before the presidential election, President Barack Obama’s administration faces mounting opposition from within the ranks of U.S. intelligence agencies over what career officers say is a “cover up” of intelligence information about terrorism in North Africa.

This is really starting to ‘smell’, if you know what we mean. Not only is a politically charged film coming out just in time for next year’s election (an October Surprise?), but the company making the movie is SONY Pictures, who just happened to have access to Team 6 for the script before the crash–and SONY paid for a recent fundraising banquet for the President.
The story of why the SEALS were involved in the mission is also changing, and now some in the special ops community are asking questions:
The Washington Times has reported that some in the special operations community are privately critical of the mission. They wonder why so many SEALs were put in one helicopter instead of two. The sources also ask why the command dispatched a CH-47 instead of the special operations version, the MH-47, flown by the highly trained 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
via SEALs were sent to stop fleeing Taliban – Washington Times.
We have no problems with the brave men and women who serve overseas, particularly those who are on the front lines, but this entire Bin Laden affair leaves us shaking out heads.

If you read nothing else this Sunday, read this one. C. Christine Fair sheds much needed light on the truth behind the Bin Laden raid–and the man who wrote all about it. Here’s a teaser (read it all–read it all–read it all!).
First, many Muslims across the world fundamentally doubt the events of the Bin Laden raid. Some believe Bin Laden is still alive. Others believe he died long ago. Others believe that the events of May 2 were staged to allow the Obama administration to make an exit from Afghanistan. As Mr. Schmidle’s is the first and so far only account of the drama, these problems cast a pale of doubt upon the events that transpired that evening.
Second is the simple fact of Mr. Schmidle parentage. His father, as noted above, is the deputy commander of the U.S. Cyber Command. Given the conspiratorial propensities of many within and beyond the Muslim world, Schmidle’s ties to this organization by virtue of his father would recast any serious inaccuracy in his report as a U.S. military psychological operation to deliberately misinform the world about the operation.
